# Quickstart: create your first pool in 2 minutes

> Sign up, name your pool, pick a scoring mode, and share the invite link. Your group can start submitting picks before you finish your coffee.

Creating a pool takes about two minutes. You don't need a credit card — pools are free for up to 25 members, forever. This guide walks you through every step from sign-up to sharing your invite link.

## Create your pool

  <Step title="Sign up for Toqui">
    Go to [toqui.app](https://toqui.app) and create a free account. You can sign up with Google, Facebook, or an email address and password.

  <Step title="Open Create Pool">
    Once you're signed in, click **Create Pool** from the app dashboard. This opens the pool setup flow.

  <Step title="Name your pool">
    Give your pool a name — something your group will recognize. Pool names can be between 3 and 50 characters. You can always change it later from the pool settings.

  <Step title="Choose a tournament">
    Select the tournament your pool will cover. World Cup 2026 (48 teams, 104 matches, June 11 – July 19 across the US, Canada, and Mexico) is the featured option. Toqui loads the full match schedule automatically.

  <Step title="Pick a scoring mode">
    Choose how points are awarded. There are 5 presets to pick from — ranging from Casual (pick the winner, one point) to Cascading Bracket (points scale up each round). If you want to tweak the rules, every preset is customizable per tournament stage.

    Toqui generates a shareable invite link and an 8-character join code the moment your pool is created. Drop the link in your group chat — members tap it, create a free account if they don't have one, and they're in. You can also [invite members directly](/en/guides/invite-members) from the pool's **Invite** tab.

## After your pool is live

Once the pool is created and your group joins, members can start submitting picks for upcoming matches. Picks stay private until each match's deadline locks — nobody sees what anyone else picked until then. After every final whistle, Toqui auto-scores the results and refreshes the **Standings** tab.

  Add Toqui to your home screen for faster access. On mobile, open toqui.app in your browser, tap the share icon, and choose **Add to Home Screen**. Toqui installs as a Progressive Web App (PWA) — no app store needed.
