# Join a Toqui Pool with an Invite Link or Code

> Two ways to join a Toqui pool: click an invite link from your group chat, or enter an 8-character join code at toqui.app/join. Joining is always free.

To join a Toqui pool, you need either an invite link from the pool organizer or the pool's 8-character join code. Both methods take under a minute. Joining is always free — only the pool organizer ever pays, and only if the group grows past 25 members.

<Note>
  Joining a pool is always free. You'll never be asked for a credit card as a pool member.

## What happens after you join

Once you're in the pool, you have access to three main sections:

* **Predict** — submit your picks for upcoming matches before each deadline locks. Picks stay private until the lock time; nobody can see what you predicted until then.
* **Standings** — the live leaderboard showing every member's current score. This updates automatically after each match result.
* **Members** — see who's in the pool.

Your first step after joining is to submit picks for any open matches. The **Predict** tab shows a countdown to the next lock deadline so you know how much time you have.

<Tip>
  Enable push notifications so Toqui can remind you before a pick deadline expires. You'll also get a nudge when you move up the standings. See [push notifications](/en/guides/push-notifications) to turn them on.
