# Set Your Display Name, Avatar, and Sign-In Method

> Update your Toqui display name and emoji avatar, manage your sign-in method, and find your account settings at toqui.app/app/profile.

Your Toqui profile controls how other pool members see you on leaderboards and pick summaries. You can update your display name and pick an emoji avatar at any time — no profile photo required.

## What you can set

## How to update your display name

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open your profile">
    Go to [toqui.app/app/profile](https://toqui.app/app/profile) or tap your avatar in the top-right corner of any page and select **Profile**.

  <Step title="Edit your display name">
    Click the **Display name** field and type your new name.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save">
    Click **Save changes**. Your new name appears across all your pools immediately.

## How to pick or change your emoji avatar

Your avatar is an emoji paired with a background color — no photo uploads, no cropping tools.

  <Step title="Click your current avatar">
    A picker opens showing the full emoji set.

  <Step title="Choose an emoji">
    Tap any emoji to select it.

  <Step title="Choose a background color">
    Pick from the color swatches below the emoji grid.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save">
    Click **Save changes** to apply your new avatar.

<Note>
  Your avatar is shared across every pool you're in. If you're a member of multiple pools, all of them show the same emoji and color.

## Sign-in methods

Toqui supports three ways to sign in. You choose one when you create your account.

    Click **Continue with Google** on the sign-in page. Toqui uses your Google account for authentication — your Google profile photo is not imported as your Toqui avatar.

  <Tab title="Facebook">
    Click **Continue with Facebook** on the sign-in page. Same as Google: authentication only, no photo import.
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="Email and password">
    Enter your email address and choose a password. You can reset your password from the sign-in page at any time.

  Regardless of how you sign in, your display name and emoji avatar are what other members see — not your Google or Facebook name.
